  • Here's a puzzler. 97% of College graduates cannot guess this riddle, but 84% of children in Kindergarten classes can answer it correctly! Can you solve it?

    I turn polar bears white
    and I will make you cry.
    I make guys have to pee
    and girls comb their hair.
    I make celebrities look stupid
    and normal people look like celebrities.
    I turn pancakes brown
    and make your champane bubble.
    If you sqeeze me, I'll pop.
    If you look at me, you'll pop.
    Can you guess the riddle?

    That's me!, I'am the reason for all of those things.
  • onions?
  • Wow, Zaxx almost got it right!
  • ergo, i answered you on PM
    That's the kind of thing you should answer in public in case anyone else has the same problem and needs help.

    Okay, I thought about making a new thread, but nah. Okay, you now see on the server list; Krypton Construction. Well, Sloik needs a little help with the doors. They dont save properly and the owner only and admin only doors dont work right, they let anyone through. There will be further questions on this server soon...
    I believe somebody just forgot to change the obj.lv checks in staticshape.cs, so have him open that up and change the 4 and 5 checks to 1 and 2 under "//door level chek //"
    There also may have been a field or two left out that needs to be put in savebuilding.cs for saved doors to function.
  • Greetings, gentlemen. I'm a bit new around these parts...

    Anywho, I believe I've already made the required modifications to savebuilding.cs... however I'm not in front of my PC at the moment, so I couldn't tell you for sure.

    I'll try making the modifications to staticshape.cs, but I have a hunch that it has something to do with evaluating power , as my save system is set to evaluate power 10 seconds after the load sequence has initiated.

    Thanks for the assistance!
  • That could be an issue. But still, make sure your %obj.lv checks are functioning properly. It would be easier for me to debug it if I saw the code.

    Edit.
    Hehe, I just noticed your only about 70-80 miles away from where I live...

    As I understand it, they're the doors from the v70 release.
    What exactly happens to the loaded doors? Do they get stuck at the opened state?

    The particular lines in question for the collision doors (in function StaticShapeData::onCollision) are:
      if (%obj.lv == 4 && %ownerguid != %client.guid){
      		messageclient(%client, 'MsgClient',"Access Denied"@%owner.namebase );
      		return;
      	 }
      else if (%obj.lv == 5 && %ownerguid != %client.guid && !%client.isadmin){
      		messageclient(%client, 'MsgClient',"Access Denied");
      		return;
      	 }

    Which should be:
      if (%obj.lv == 1 && %ownerguid != %client.guid){
      		messageclient(%client, 'MsgClient',"Access Denied, "@%owner.namebase@" only. );
      		return;
      	 }
      else if (%obj.lv == 2 && %ownerguid != %client.guid && !%client.isadmin){
      		messageclient(%client, 'MsgClient',"Access Denied.");
      		return;
      	 }

  • OK, what Krash suggested fixed the owner-only and admin-only doors.

    My power doors still break when loading, though. I think it definitely has something to do with evaluating power. When somebody else loads a building, and power is evaluated for everybody, loads of doors break. It's getting quite annoying....
  • Power toggle or power normal doors?
  • I've integrated the Metallic doors, and everything is running smoothly now.

    Thanks for the assistance!
  • Here's a random qustion

    Can you chew teeth with teeth?
  • Can you chew teeth with teeth?
    Depends. Can you eat bones?
  • How about this one look at the bucket in the pic below.

    altypour.jpg

    How did they make the first one of those buckets?
  • The ability to heat and pour molten metal is not needed when making ceramic buckets.
  • What he meant is that in the begining they used ceramic molds to shape metals.
  • ahhhhhhhhhh u guys should say stuff more simpeler
  • We can't, otherwise we would look like simple folk, and people as complicated as us don't like that.
  • pretty much that. Oh and try my random question:

    What is tomorrow, when tomorrow was yesterday?
  • the day after today.

    The fact that tomorrow "was" yesterday doesn't change the fact that tomorrow "is" the day after today.
  • Okay, I got 2 Questions; First, I need someone to list all the steps to clear a cd-key. Next I need to, umm.... how do you see the chat when your not ingame? Like have a window separite from t2 to see the chat on your server.
  • the day after today.

    The fact that tomorrow "was" yesterday doesn't change the fact that tomorrow "is" the day after today.

    Errrrr. wrong.

    What is tomorrow, when tomorrow was yesterday?

    If Tomorrow was yesterday, then it must be today. Don't worry, they(My Teachers) got me with that one when I guessed the first time.

    :lol:
  • Erm... For the first question, do this:

    Email [email protected] and use 'Tribes 2 Account Reset' or 'Tribes 2 Account Retrieve' in the subject line. Include in the message your Tribes 2 CD-key number exactly as it is shown on the package along with a picture or scanned image file ( .JPG or .BMP format only) of the CD with CD-key showing (to verify ownership of the CD-key) and state the specific problem you are encountering with this account or CD-key.

    For the second question, i have no idea.
  • What is tomorrow, when tomorrow was yesterday?

    If Tomorrow was yesterday, then it must be today. Don't worry, they(My Teachers) got me with that one when I guessed the first time.

    If you interpret the sentence as
    "On the day that tomorrow would have been yesterday relative to today, what is tomorrow?"

    hence if today is 28th, yesterday is 27th. The day when tomorrow is 27th is 26th, and on the 26th tomorrow is 27th, which is yesterday relative to today.

    If you interpret the sentence as
    "If the definition of tomorrow were to be changed to be that of yesterday, then what day is tomorrow?"

    If tomorrow now defines yesterday, then by this new definition tomorrow(yesterday) is 27th, and this, relative to today, is again "yesterday".

    If you interpret the sentence as
    "There was a day when tomorrow referred to yesterday, what does tomorrow refer to now?"

    Then tomorrow refers to tomorrow, because the first part of the sentence states some fact that really has nothing to do with the fundemental definition of the word.

    There's many more ways of interpreting that sentence, but I'm having a hard time finding one where the answer is "today"... perhaps you can enlighten me with a disambiguated version of how you interpreted the sentence to come up with that result?
  • Random question eh? Whats the lorrentz factor (relativistic mass version) of an object traveling at 90% of C?

    B-b-b-bonus!: Assuming the object to have a mass of 1kg (2.2 pounds), and C to be rounded to 300,000,000m/s, what is the objects kinetic energy! Preferably given in kg-TNT equivilent.

    Perhaps I should, When Defined "Tomorrow is Yesterday", that immediately and exactly mentions that the current date is YESTERDAY, therefore, tomorrow must be today.
  • Hello? Anyone going to anwser the question, or argue what day it is?
