Alright, I've got the official parts for my crappy 2005 HP Pavilion (a1130n) upgrade.

OLD: AMD Athlon 64 2.2 GHz CPU <Standard Fan>
NEW:AMD Phenom II x3 2.8 GHz (OC to 3.4 GHz) <Liquid Cooling>

Memory
OLD: 1GB (2 500MB sticks)
NEW: 6GB (3 2GB sticks)

Video
OLD: 256MB x850 XT
NEW: 1GB HD 4890

Hard Drive
OLD: 250GB (something-slow RPM)
NEW: 1TB (7,200 RPM)

Fan Control
OLD: None
NEW: Touch Screen Fan Control

Power Supply
OLD: 480w
NEW: 700w

New Motherboard - AMD 790GX

Same old default mid-tower case

  • What was the old motherboard? Also you need to overclock to max because you have liquid Cooling.
