I swear this is the best thing we will get to modern tribes, i'm playing it cause it looks fun but I don't know much about it really.

    I tried it once, didn't like it.

    It was the flagship game of a little browser-arcade type site called InstantAction for a while until the company went under. They allowed some volunteers (a number of whom are former Tribes players) to then take the game and continue work on it - and they're doing a pretty good job working with what they have.

    It is definitely a "Tribes-like" game, on an engine descended from Tribes 2, but in general they go out of their way to keep it distinguished from Tribes. It's close, sure, but I wouldn't call it a modern Tribes.

    Now that I think about it it's more like Tribes Vengance, it's not a bad game but it's hard to get a good low ping game.
