ACCM Map Development

New maps have been added to ACCM. As well as new gametypes to support those maps. Most of them are ServerSide, because we want everyone to enjoy them. There may be the occasional map that is made for a special reason and it'll be ClientSide.

Here is a description to the most played gametype: Infection
Infection is a gametype mainly focusing on Zombie combat. The objective in this gametype is to build a base, defend it, destroy OR contain the zombie hordes and survive as long as possible. There are also certain things you shouldn't do, such as team killing, if you do this, even by accident, you get -15 points every time you do it, which is bad for your overall rank. Also killing anyone who is living is also bad... If you kill someone on another team you get no points at all because the fact that person is on another team cancels the -15 points you would get for team killing someone and you are killing a potential ally (even if they are on another team) which is a bad thing. This was made for people to understand the meaning of "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." Finally as a general note: Every zombie kill is 5 points each, this really adds up in the heat of combat and while you're tearing through zombies with a S.A.W. or Bazooka.

Tips:
Always aim for the head while using a Sniper Rifle, Zombies drop like flys that way.
DON'T Teamkill or kill anyone on another team, It is bad for you...
When you die you also loose points, this is because you should not run in like an idiot and just go slap some random zombie... It'll bite you and then you'll cry for a band-aid... And if you do get infected go to the nearest Antidote Station immediatally, thats what it's there for.
You don't get points for killing people on other teams, as a matter of fact.... Don't shoot people on other teams, they are fighting for the same cause. (Yes I am stressing this alot, I want people to listen to it)
There is a way to contain the zombies, the new force-fields in ACCM are there for that reason, set up a few traps to keep the zombies out of the way!! (This method does not work on Zombie Lords or Demon Zombies)
Turrets now shoot zombies... Yes you heard right!! Make a turret, and just sit back and watch!! (The Chaingun Turret is the prefered turret barrel for zombie defense)

Here is the description the the base-wars supporting gametype: CombatCon
CombatCon follows standard objective gameplay: destroy the enemy. Teamkilling and suicide penalties: -10 points for each time you commit suicide or teamkill. Either make your own base or use the map's bases. With the Waypoint Pack you can make objectives that would be excellent for defenders or attackers, for Example: If you make a small bunker for base power and make a waypoint naming it: "Power Bunker" It can tell your team where to make repairs should the power go out and tell the enemies where to attack. This heats up combat situations by making primary objectives for teams to engage eachother, just like a regular Tribes 2 gametype.

Tips:
Teamkilling is always bad... It makes people not like you and it can de-rank you at times. Just avoid it completly and don't teamkill.
If you see a vehicle make it a primary target! You get bonus points for detroying vehicles along with their pilots/drivers and/or passengers.
Always expect the unexpected, always have a few Antidote Stations around, you never know when Zombies could attack.
Turrets by default will only attack zombies. To allow the turrets to attack other people or vehicles and you are an admin, then type in: /ZTurrets - This will stop turrets from shooting zombies and allow them to focus on the other team, If you type it again, they will once more ignore the other team and attack zombies.

BOTH of these gametypes support a scoring system, each is unique. So if you want an overall High Score, then follow these descriptions.

As a final note, The Strategy in containing zombies DOES work, use tripwires. (Yes Zombies can activate Tripwires) This Containment "Strategy" will be put into greater detail in a future ACCM Map, which infact, will be ClientSide.
