Oh and 1 more thing. For building ships there are 2 methods. The out to in approach and the in to out approach. For any of the Star Destroyer ships trust me start by making the shell and fill it. It will allow you to make it as big as you want and will look better.
Well... I kinda realized in the middle of making it I should have made the hull shell first... So I am restarting the project on my personal server, once I get my mod fully operational and removed all of Eolk's garbage... I appreciate the advice (although I know what I'm doing ) and you can see the newly made Star Destroyer on my server, once I get everything ready.
Just as a note to any ACCM fanatics out there, the next Major Update (ACCM 1.3) will not only be perfected for combat style gameplay, but also will have new and better construction options, so you don't always need to be fighting in an ACCM server. Hence the name "Advanced Combat Construction Mod." So I know the recent updates are... Crappy (thank Eolk for that) but I am back as the leading developer and I had a nice conversation with the other two devs, and added a new member to the dev team. So updates will be released for Eolk's embarrassing version of ACCM, until 1.29, then my version (The major one) ACCM 1.3.
So yes to let you guys know I not only found the file I'm attempting to get my server running back up. Yes it will run Quantium but that is so we can retro fit the things like the star destroyer by stripping it so we can transfer it, or if you guys don't care I can get the vis limit script and we can finish that beast. It is about 800 pieces so with the script we can add alot of detail. I'm talking to Art so we will see. Hopefully in the next few days I'l be on. Plus I have the Hall of Fame still and what not.
i wonder how many pieces it will take to make the little ball shaped things on top of the bridge
OK just to watch my pieces count I used I believe the small walkways standard size and bent them by 45 degrees. For my design it worked well for the effect and it kept the piece count down.
Well I was working with Quantium at the time. Besides I had to cut detail in certain places because of how huge the ship is. it is roughly 800 pieces with all the basic stuff inside. Besides I made the dang thing a couple of years back. Besides it is just glass FF. If I had the vis limit script resolved I could really make this piece shine. What I'm working on is stripping most of the Quantium stuff so it can be used in Metallic. It is going ok, but I have a bunch of stuff in life going down I'm not sure how long it will take. I definitely need to redo the storage hangar. It can store alot of vehicles but moving the bigger vehicles around can be tricky. There are no moving doors so with the editor it can be moved. Always a bonus. I'm going to leave in the docking clamps and loading system. The custom big guns are going away. Yes they don't relate to any actual SW ship just always fun adding big quantium cannons for no reason. After looking at it I would love to do alot of tweeks to it. Overall the look of it and layout inside is awesome. Sorry Zaxx it doesn't stand up too M-17's. So yes it is fun to mess with. I might also strip it down for transport and give it to someone to finish it anyway they like. What is nice is most of the hard shape work is done so adding inside the ship is very easy. It has the engineering bay near the center rear, and it has a router room towards the front and near the bridge. The bridge deco is well done. The docking bay is well done. It is hard to explain full, but if you look closely you can relate to the scale at the escape pods on the side. There are turrets next to each one. If it was Metallic they would be manuals. Damn Quantium. Still it has wired in battle station functions and all. So yes I did good but if I had time I could make it amazing. I need to get that script. I was going to load Metallic on my machine and finish refitting it. We will see what happens but out of all the ships I've seen in all the years I have built on T2 this one is one of the best I have seen. Not saying nothing can top it by all means go for it and I'm sure there are better one's like M-17's apparently. I sure would like to see it. Ok I need to go to bed so I can pick my girlfriend up in the morning from the airport. So yes give me your thoughts guys since you are much more active then I am. This is an amazing build and especially if anyone from my old Tribe }Jedi{ is still out there I never got to actually pass the torch when I left.
Star Destroyer is a real pain in the ass to work with.
Perhaps this weekend on my b-day I'll try to make one if I have the time.
Anyone is freely welcome to help.

Look in the ACCM Forums for more info.

M-17 showed me a different one, but that isnt half-bad!
So does }Sith{
As far as the ship, I remember when you were building that and we were messing around loading shrikes and mpb's and stuff inside of it. Good times.
Definitely one of the most fun ships to mess around in. Hope the switch from quantium goes well.

Lol... This thread is from like.... 6 months ago. Probably more. Don't revive dead threads.

You didn't see a finished version did you?
