My New Computer

I will be building my new super computer next week.
The price of building it my self: $845
The price of an online company making it: $1,900

Here are the specs:

CPU
Phenom II X4 940 overclocked to 3.6 GHz

RAM
CORSAIR DDR3 1600 4GB

Godly Graphics Card
Overclocked Radeon HD 4850 X2 2GB

You can save some major bank by building your computer from newegg.com

  • I built my computer 6 months ago on newegg and the prices are already way lower. Makes me sad, but if I want to upgrade at least I know its cheaper.

Nice build by the way =D
  • you don't need that much power or torque in a computer unless you're using it for some serious Graphics power Hungry programs, not even Adobe takes that much i would say yeah okay if you're doing something like, maybe Movie Special effects like Laser beams and Fusion Effects but you don't need a Overclocked CPU like that ether 3.6Ghz -.- you would never use it and GDDR3 is just Fast in Response time its Bus's just go faster and there architecture is better then GDDR2
  • I completely disagree with cyrogen. In a year you will still have a nice enough computer for any game that comes out. Besides, 800 dollars for a computer isn't that much money. And if you ever want to do any 3d rendering or movie rendering you have a decent computer for it.

Why would you buy a half-assed NEW computer anyways???

    Let's have a laugh.
There is a completely stupid observation I made today at 05:39, if you buy a good computer it will be too much!
Games will not be made any better in the future, programs will not require better computers in the future.
  • Don't get that ATI card, Get the GeForce GTX 295, Though it may be clocked over $500, it has A LOT of power.

Compare the two ATI and Geforce cards together, Otherwise you'll be making a mistake.
Unless your going for that cheap-to-pass-by stuff.

  • You need these specs to run Crysis at max settings. That game looks better than real life. XD
  • Your only getting it for Crysis?
It will still run choppy on max settings, Unless you want to buy a supercomputer for 24K, theres no computer other than the Bumblebee and other supercomputers which can run that game at max,
    Expect choppyness, lol.
  • There's tons of games that I will play. Crysis is just the most realistic game of them all.
  • I can run Crysis on high settings and decently high resolutions and my computer isn't even that good. It is just ultra-high and super high resolutions that kill my computer lol
  • I didn't know that resolutions made a big difference.
  • Well, a bigger resolution does means more space for the computer to draw.
  • Higher resolution makes a huge difference actually.
