I thought the "manhunt" game had to do with you escaping a mental asylum and going for a brutal homicidal rampage, slowly re-discovering your psychotic backstory conveniently buried in your memories
Alviss, If your making a game CCM style, I want in on it. pls, i need to get back to doing some serious programming, and as for spelling ive gotten alot better.
You guys should really check out the newest version of CCM, ive done alot of work revamping alot of shit in it. Most of it is background stuff, that most players wouldnt notice, and even revamped code thats more effective, but dosent change anything ingame.
But then theres things like survival mode, weapon and vehicle reclassifications, hud reorganizations, and now pictures for all the vehicles in the v pad. esc.
And please for gods sake, for fucks sake actually, if your doing this CCM style, no retartedly advanced or unwordly weapons and shit. Also if you make ranks allow you to open advanced combat stuff beyond secondary things like i did with squad systems, then i promise to not only not help, but to hunt you down with a silver stake, because your no human being, your some form of supernatural ass, that requires special violence to stop.
Though as I have realised, if i was to make CCM the way i really want it, mmo style, there would need to be some form of restriction, because otherwise, it would be nothing but retarted amounts of interceptors, whitehorses, and spec ops running around, the proposed plan I had was this:
A rank and traning system that would promote unit usage, and teamwork, but wouldnt really remove combat capabilites, but instead set your character in a certain role type, much like it is in the actual army.
The first five ranks would be as follows.
1: private (20 TP)
2: private grade 2 (20 TP)
3: private first class (20 TP)
4: specialist (40 TP)
5: sergeant (40 TP)
These ranks will all be given by combat points (xp for killing shit)
You will start off with 20 traning points to allocate to whatever skill youde like at start, and be given more traning points each rank. Privates can use scout and assault armors, and most weapons with those armors. Vehicles cannot be purchased by low ranking individuals.
-20-First Aid traning, (grants medpack)
-20-Heavy weapons traning, (tank gunner)
-20-Precision weapons traning, (aircraft gunner)
-20-Naval weapons traning, (boat gunner)
-20-sniper traning, (grants sniper rifle)
-20-hazardous weapons traning, (grants flame thrower, and any other hazardous material weapon systems)
-20-Marksman traning (improved handling of weapons)
-20-Demolitions tranings (grants satchel charge)
-20-Call for fire radio transmition traning (grants use of radio requests for fire, and TL)
(any more you can think of)
Then once you reach sergeant, after you allocate your points, you get the choice of these three and maybe more choices.
-Advanced Combat Infantry traning, ACIT, (grants all armor classes, to include juggernaught, no vehicle purchases granted unless traning is taken)
-Special Operations Traning, SOT, (removes all old traning, and grants only special operations armor, and equipment to player, low access to vehicles, wildcat, leopard)
-Officer Traning Course, OTC, (grants command and vehicle purchase to player)
ACIT, is a pretty basic idea, grants access to all infantry equipment. Ranks are now given by commanders of your unit in the form of leader granted points, not by xp, no more lone wolf shit, or no ranks, and no cool shit.
Traning can be taken once you get high enough rank that will allow you to start squads, or purchase vehicles.
SOT, Spec ops dont really worry about rank much or any access stuff, your in the spec ops, whatever spec ops uses you can use, but you will not go anywhere in this choice, but spec ops, ranks are mainly for squad command and control purposes.
OTC, is a very complicated path to take, basically at first you just get access to start a squad, and run it, once your rank up, then you can specialise your skill sets, like choose to be an armored officer, a flight officer, an infantry officer, or naval officer. Clearly each choice, grants you that specific kind of vehicle, access, but you can only make it once, if you choose naval officer, youll be in command of peronnel specialised in using the boats until you make a new character.
Now as you rank up, you get access to more and more peronnel and control of more so.

The thing is, i cant work with Torque right now, the Engine itself is teh borked, and i need the source, which means paying, and i dont want to pay for an engine thats about to go under, so im waiting and seeing what happens next, rumor has it they found a buyer for their engine.
Time will tell whats gunna happen with Torque and by association, Creed. For the moment im playing with Panda3D, it looks promising, it's just insanely unoptimized for FPS, so im toying with a 4X project for a while.
/me runs off as well for the exact same reason and sees Hoomans doing the same. Together they skip- Er, run down the yellow brick road of ignorance... Or wait, that sheets gold! OOOH YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAH!!!
T3D has some awesome features, and is very pretty. This is going to be very fun once i can get into porting the game over, im gunna alter the MasterServer code to work with a website, so it wont be so painfully hacky.
Good luck with T3D, I still would recommend using TGEA because of T3D's massive video requirements, but hey, do what you please.
And yeah, It does have some really neat stuff in it.
My computer is pretty terrible but i can run T3D on lowest g sewttings (low for texture detail) and it runs pretty well, the only problem i noticed was when i checked out the Physics room, and that was my Ram.
I was gunna use TGEA but it seemed very incomplete, and shoddly done, and i didnt like the Atlas terrain. The engine just didnt seem that great. Perhaps ill have to give it another chance, and do some more indepth testing.
Word, im gonna get my hands on this engine when i get back aswell. Question alvis, is the scripting code alot like the base scripting stuff for T2?
It's pretty much the exact same, about the only key changes are that T3D does not give you all of the projectile types that T2 has, only one, and that there is no implementation for a "Target Manager". Other than that, it's pretty much the same.

Is Creed still being developed?
Manhunt
Would make for a much more interesting game.
probably might be, for the likes of mr card over there
Your quote is broken, by the way.
Or a misogynistic slasher film!

Sorry for not filling you all in.
/me runs off because he understands absolutely nothing about making games.
I'm sorry, but FURB is staying up late.

EDIT:
Ok, so it's bought, downloaded, and imma start fuckin with it.
I'll keep you all posted.
epic news is epic news, mehehe
And yeah, It does have some really neat stuff in it.
Thats why I suggest prioritising graphics settings first, man this is sounding promising.

Ok, it's really really hard to port a TGE game to T3D (or maybe im just r-tarded) so im gunna start from scratch.
I should be at where i was when i stopped development in a few weeks.
This.
