You won't be able to join the server unless you're whitelisted. (its to keep out random griefers)

    Actually I just tried it and it didn't work.

    Pretty soon my dad may join us. Right now he is spending his time in a progression EQ server (If you don't know what that is, you haven't seen WoW's future) right now, so it may be awhile. He doesn't like to have his interests split, but once he get's into MC, expect a rather large and evil fortress.

    When it happens I'll post his name. Will probably be something like Slaade or Grimm... Just a heads up.

    I just bought the game still alot to learn I think :)

    But I already killed some chickens with flowers haha

    Also this is my first post on The Construct, some of you might remember me as Kingsnake on Tribes 2, but now I go by neurohm there.

    Not quite sure
    Two possibilities come to mind:
    a) some things didn't take the flat file --> SQL migration very well
    b) the server was hosted in offline mode for awhile. The whitelist doesn't work in that mode -everyone would have gotten that message.

    The whitelist does work in offline mode, actually. It's entirely separate from the auth mechanisms.

    What very likely happened was that you joined during the 3 or so minutes from me enabling the whitelist plugin to realizing that I forgot to copy the whitelist over.
