Gamespy Shutdown

With the shutdown of Gamespy, the list of games affected includes Starsiege: Tribes, and Tribes 2. (T:V is in there but it doesn't seem popular 'round these parts). With TribesNEXT, is gamespy still used in some way or are we all in the clear?

  • Don't think that list is very accurate, or is referring to something other than masters... T1 and T2 had their own listing services, and they've been gone for years (since 2007 for T1, 2008 for T2) -- hence why I wrote the original master listing script that's now in TN when we originally thought the T2 masters could be shut down alongside T1 and Dynamix IRC back in 2007.

Vengrances did use GameSpy for their master listing though.
