According to former revisions of the Tribes 2 Wikipedia article (I was meddling), it's yet another tribes 2 alternate master server which does not require a Tribes 2 CD key.

It seems to have a more complicated installation, though.

Trying to keep the game alive is certainly commendable... but requiring the players to download a new copy of the game is the wrong direction. I'll download it later and have a look at what they're doing with it.

Looks like the download on the first site isn't the full thing, but a patcher sort of deal. Don't really want to bother with it right now.

How would you compare theirs to ours?

The patcher thing doesn't really work. Probably needs you to have it in the default C:\ directory or something. From what I've seen browsing through the rest of their sites, it looks like it just adds a shortcut to connect to the one Shifter server running a patched tribes2.exe.
I may be wrong again of course, so I'll download one of those full versions to check if there's actually any other changes, but files such as these are kind of evidence to the prior.

Well, I guess our version is less bulky, not required to install more stuff (depending on which one you get from TC), and generally better, I guess.
