I know the irony that i'm co-deving a CCM addon. But thats fun, and as long we pay heavy tribute (of virgins) to CCM , and have "CCM" in it's name, It's all good.

You don't need permission, it's nice to have the developers blessings, but it's not nessasary. Someone could say they don't want you to make a Mod of their con mod, but you'd have to fuck up really bad for a dev to disapprove of your addon, since most people are flattered by someone wanting to use their mod.

well considering keen made meltdown for the original tribes, then brought his ideas to tribes 2, then after all that defender came up with war 2k3 with meltdown ideas and meltdown code (without permission)..... id say that is a rip off
