Yays! I Downloaded T2 and it works Great! Except i cant go on the online mode because its says"Your verison of Tribes 2 is Out of date but there is no Other Update" Anyway i play on the Construct Severon the Classic one.
Post if you know how to fix the Upate Glitch.

The other shortcuts you use are the correct online shortcuts. The sierraup hasn't worked for years.

Right click on the "Tribes 2 Online" and hit properties. Now under Target put this:
C:\Dynamix\Tribes2\Tribes 2.exe -online
