  • T2 is here to stay :p
Most people just don't know it yet.
  • For some reason it can't find the master server list, yes the ports are unblocked.... :(:(:(:(:(:(:(

    <---- wtf? NUGGET???!?!?!?
  • Well... Did you set the correct path for the T2 launcher?

If not, right click the T2 launcher icon and go to properties, find something labeled "Target" and change C:\Dynamix\Tribes2\GameData\Sierra.exe to C:\Dynamix\Tribes2\GameData\Tribes2.exe -online

If that doesn't help... Well then I honestly don't know.
  • Already did that, I can login it just says it can't find the master servers
  • Oh, dude, harsh.

    Put :

    Connect("24.108.141.46:28000");

    In the console

you'll connect to The-Construct.net BC (this websites dedicated T2 server)
  • It trys to connect 5 times then fails, i have this feeling that theres something wrong here.
  • hmmm

What messages do you get in the console when it fails?
  • In your serverprefs file, try to find $Host::BindAddress.
  • where? which folder?
  • Your prefs folder.
  • In your serverprefs file, try to find $Host::BindAddress.

Dude, I don't even have one of those. I also don't recognize the variable meaning i've never seen it. So... care to explain what it does? Stands for? Dictates?
  • timed out, any server connect attempt times our, master or yours...
  • prefs/serverprefs.cs. Find the variable?
  • Ok.. try to make a server and then in the console (at the top of the console when you go into the loading screen)

    Look for:
"Sending Heartbeat to Master Server : IP_ADDRESS:PORT"
  • i don't even have one of those files.... (this is for a client not a server... just in case that changes things)
  • I have one of those, ip is 198.74.35.11 or .18 port is 27999

sends about 2 a second (one for each ending)
  • While logged in, open the console (tilde key) and type $Host::BindAddress = ""; then refresh.
  • Yah, i wouldn't imagine you would even have a custom serverprefs.cs folder if you've never hosted, it would be filled with default values.

But try my hosting proposal so i can see if you can even get a ping out
    try Eolk's too.
  • i don't know if this matters but while i was hosting tribes got an unhandeled exception...
  • i have a server prefs file now... can't find BindAdress
  • Tried the $Host::BindAddress = ""; solution refreshed didn't work
  • You're server sends a ping every 2 seconds?

that means it can't get a connection... which could be why you crashed (error spam)

Are you sure you've made a port? try turning off you're firewall.
  • Are you sure your internet connection isn't going in and out?
  • my computer is de-firewalled, i have no AV firewalls running and I've opend the required ports on my router (I am an IT tech I'm not that stupid)
  • Yes, I can use ventrillo (am right now in fact)
  • Lol, aight, just making sure.

    This is all pretty strange.
  • Also when i first login it says 'There was an error processing your request, please try again later"
  • ok... try Connect("70.66.228.12:28000"):

and i'll see what messages i get when you connect (or at least try)
  • Also when i first login it says 'There was an error processing your request, please try again later"
That's because the browser is down. We all get that (for now).
  • YAY!!!!!!! working....

(i just restart my computer... that was prolly it) THANK YOU
