Port Forwarding (Again)

I got a new modem, so I'm going to try getting my server to work again, but yet, I still have no luck.

Port Range Forward
Application: Tribes 2
Start: 27999
End: 28000
Protocol: Both
IP: 192.168.1.100
Enabled: True

DMZ
Enabled: True
DMZ Host IP Address: 192.168.1.100

Router: Linksys
Modem: Arris

It doesn't show at all on 27999, but if I do setnetport(28000), it shows and the IP is: 192.168.1.101:28000

Comments

  • 192.168.1.100 should be your router address. Being that the server appears on your local list as 192.168.1.101, this should will be the address you forward the ports to.

If you forward the ports, DMZ does not need to be enabled (nor should it be if all you need is the two ports).
  • Ok, still doesn't work. On port 27999, it doesn't show up. When I do setnetport(27999), it doesn't give me error 5. If I set the port to 28000, it shows and the IP is still 192.168.1.101:28000.

  • Try widening the port range to try a few other ports and remove the checkmark from the "Block Anonymous Internet Requests" box on the security tab. Do heartbeats get through to the master and recieve info requests?
    Also try setting: $Host::BindAddress = "71.61.144.93";

Yes, there are heartbeats and info requests. I'm attempting the bindaddress variable now.
  • Now it shows on port 27999. The IP is:

    71.61.144.93:27999

I asked Vazolyth, he said it was showing. Now I went to install metallic on it (On A Fresh Copy Of T2 and it just crashes upon startup..
    Unhandled Exception: c0000005

It runs with Infinate Spawn... :D
  • Now it doesn't work.

If I do setnetport(ANY PORT); it gives me:

"Unable to initialize UDP - error 5"
And right after that it says
    "Binding server port to 71.61.144.93"

Whoa, my router pages are messed up..

Works now, I just needed to reset my router.

Nevermind, it still gives me that error if I try to set the port to any random number..

If the bindaddress is 71.61.144.93, my server won't set the port to any port number...
  • I can't do setnetport(27999); if I use any valid IP I have to use 192.168.1.101 and use port 28000 just for it to show up to me...
  • Help me please.
  • Damnit, help me.
  • I was going to, but now with that attitude.

Sorry, I've been waiting a few days for a reply.
  • Very strange problem(s).

    1.)I can't access my router.
    2.)My server IP is 192.168.1.4:28000

    I don't know what's going on.

When I try 192.168.101, firefox is attempting to "load" the page, then gives me a page load error.
192.168.1.1, firefox "loads" the page and then does nothing.

Internet explorer does the exact opposite for each address..

  • I love the (again) part =-D

try 192.168.1.1, if not, then try 192.168.1.4
  • Neither one worked.
