Damages aside, I learned something interesting from this.
Fire only spreads when someone is present in the area. If no one is there to hear the tree burn, it doesn't.

Ok, second night ever in MC and i find a dungeon.
those green things are zombies heads. Long story short i made a sword, tried to fight them, killed the little block holding them back, and died horribly.

I simply tunnel underneath the dungeons, kill the mob spawner from the bottom, then pick off the mobs through a 1x1 hole in the wall with a bow. ;D
lol there is already another giant structure that is not on that render. also, besides my two roommates, my brother, and demonite, i think i have one more tribes meltdown person joining soon
Those slimes are spawning like crazy and pestering me. I had one huge one follow me up the stairway and into my home and they do climb ladders! I look forward to finishing the walls, making them all nice uniform stone, and then working on hills and streams and buildings.
Someday I would like to have some connecting tunnels at floor level connect with some of the other guys creations. I hope the fix to the mine carts are in the next patch.
Also, I'll be out of town from Friday afternoon 'till Either Sunday Night or Monday morning.
I'll probably be putting the server in whitelist mode since I won't have internet/computer access. ;o
SSH is pretty useless if you don't have access to a PC.
Has anyone built their obsidian gates yet?, I built a nice little altar for mine in sp!
What's an Obsidian gate? ;o
Is it a mechanism for a gate that uses TNT+Stone/Sand+Obsidian or are you talking about a decorative obsidian gate?

I think the fire broke out on the 6th. O.o Your stuff is ok.

I think your chests are ok though.
