Most of the time I use a cheap microphone.. but lately I managed to connect my pedal directly to the computer, and I'm now getting the most clean sound I have ever got.
I attempt guitar/keyboard and have an archive of a few lyrics.
What the crap would we even do though, dude?
I think theres a website out there that lets musicians take their recordings and lay/edit them onto other peoples recordings and create music. I saw it on TV, sadly i don't know the name of it.
Do you honestly believe that or are you just speaking somebody else's opinion that you've appropriated as your own in an attempt to fit in with a crowd?
Most of the posts in this thread are pretty exhibitive of... well, predominantly mainstream artists, so I guess I can understand where you're coming from if all you've heard is what they'll play on television/radio. To be perfectly blunt, though, you'd have to be pretty lacking in cultural experience yourself not to have some concept of the breadth of what the term or genre encompasses and the thought and talent that goes into it.
I'm sure what you've heard genuinely was crap and should be thrown in the trash, but to dismiss the every lyricist and musician in the genre outright is pretty close-minded.
On a side note, we do a bit of production work as part of our label services, so if you guys need help mixing sometime hit me up.

FREE MASTERING! I get free time in the recording studio I work at so if you want some mastering done, I'll do it for free as practice!
Also, here's one of my bands tracks! Not finished yet but you'll get the idea!

Hmm, think you can master the unreleased Led Zeppelin song Sugar Mama for me? Unfortunately I can't find a HQ version of it, I only got a shit 160kbps mp3 file. I can send that your way if you're up to it, unless you think you can stumble into a lossless version somewhere perhaps. Edit: Actually, I found a flac version, but it is sorta mastered (though still not quite clean) already...
Actually, why wouldn't I just upload it to my own space that I never use and thus forget about all the time? :P
I'm uploading a .rar containing the shitty low-quality but not partially mastered Sugar Mama, the lossless but partially mastered (which could make mastering of your own possibly a pain) version of the same song, and, as long as I'm gonna be wasting time watching my FTP client upload, a live version of The Train Kept A Rollin' off of a soundboard bootleg from one of their early concerts in '69, which already doesn't sound bad for a bootleg, but it could see the benefits of being cleaned up if that's at all possible.
I'll PM you with a link when it's done uploading. Dunno if I'd want to publicly post the link to it since it isn't exactly kosher, being bootlegged material and all :P

Numb and Silence have heard a few of my guitar sessions, they say they like it.
Here's a session I recorded two days ago, I think it's pretty decent.
Here's a more stylished one, that's three guitars, a rhytmic one, a solo and an effect one

I'm with you on that one. But i did say i like DMX, mofo is too tough, his rhymes get me pumped the way only thrash metal can.
Well, if you're interested in seeing what two musicians can get, you know my msn.
Although, I'd be interested to hear something from you as well.

I'd upload my sad excuse for a sample, but I have no idea how to convert this to an .mp3 o_O
Edit:
Nevermind on that upload...my computer completely screwed me over and I feel too...deflated to attempt again -_- I might later, but I doubt it.
I really want to burn this thing...
Edit Edit:
Nevermind...I finally converted it.
But every time I TRY to upload, my computer crashes and internet dies so the file gets ripped into pieces.
So yeah.
Now I really REALLY want to burn this thing.
Not sure what their size limit is though. Though if it's .wav I can't imagine it being more than 60Mb
EDIT: Yeah the maximum is 300Mb and it ain't gonna be bigger than that

So I used Adobe Soundbooth and got it as an .wav. Unfortunately, I can't work it that well, so I can't mix anything.
Good news is I got a nice cleaned-up sounding riff that I wouldn't mind repeating over and over.
If I get it uploaded, any of you are free to use it. I doubt I'll do anything in music, save for Vocalist or Producer. Consider it a gift.
IF MY COMPUTER WOULD WORK!!!!
Jeez.
Bon Jovi
I play Keyboard, Kazoo (ftw!
I have a guitar, and I do play.
