  • I would totally join, but I have no money. -.- Looks really fun though.
  • Everyone send 1€ to my paypal account [email protected] :P
  • You can buy the game for someone else long as you know their account login name, I noticed trying to register with the site in the first place.

    i think..
  • Someone wants to buy it for me? Anyone? YES! You there!
No, seriously, could anyone buy it for me?
  • In america (and south america) we don't buy things for each other, you comunist!, I hope you go to jail for even thinking that.

Oh wait, it's the 21'st century.
  • AND I happen to live in Europe, seriously everyone just give me a 1€ and make yourself think you have it to charity. For the last time is anyone kind enough to buy it for me?

I would totally buy it for you, but my Visa card is all out of funds.

    It should be

  • We should get one of those cents per click sites here and help each other into gathering the money imo
  • Is pretty epic. Can't wait for ethe full version.
  • I bought it, now to try it out.
  • hmmm, I took down the server for a few hours this afternoon but I wasn't able to get the client wrapper working.

Apparently it doesn't work with the new alpha server ver. = /

The good news is that I figured out how to merge save files :)
I was able to repair the damaged castle without deleting any of the newer buildings.

    Edit:
Here's the best Minecraft skin editor that I've found:
    http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?t=4843

That's what I've been using. I like it because its allot lighter than GIMP and it simplifies allot of things.

I just attached the file needed to preview your skins since the minecraft website is down.

    Edit_2:
    Redacted

    Edit_3:
According to the WOM forums it may be down for up to 12 hours.
    http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=28421

    Edit_4:
Minecraft.net is back up and so is my server.
  • Snowfire789, I looked up the errors you've been getting. Looks like the cause is most likely a corrupted file.

    http://developer.partnersoft.com/mediawiki/index.php?title=Java.io.UTFDataFormatException:_malformed_input_around_byte_1
(there are also a few possible fixes @ this link)

It may be that you either have a faulting stick of ram or a bad HDD.

Run memtest86 for a few hours
    http://www.memtest86.com/

    Followed by an HDD check.
(use google to find this one. Your HDD manufacturer may have one out specifically for your line of HDDs)

    Your errors:
[INFO] SnowFire789 lost connection: Internal exception: java.io.UTFDataFormatException: malformed input around byte 2

[INFO] SnowFire789 lost connection: Internal exception: java.io.IOException: Bad packet id 64

[INFO] SnowFire789 lost connection: Internal exception: java.io.UTFDataFormatException: malformed input around byte 1

Sorry for the double post. = /

    Edit_1:
Added server rules to the first post.

    Edit_2:
    Added Zicores Client wrapper.

    Many new features.

    Edit_3:
Sorry if you tried to join this afternoon and it didn't work.
A widnows firewall pop-up was hiding behind some windows and until I clicked "allow" it blocked all incoming connections.

The server is fixed and running.

    Edit_4:
Well I found the cause of the bugs.

Rockslayer downloaded some "IP Blocker" that was wreaking havoc on my server.
It essentially gave him a speedhack.
    so much consol spam...
  • I found these three videos of buildings done in the free version of Minecraft, felt like sharing cause I find them to be epic.

  • those guys have flying hax and texture packs :(
  • Psh. One of us can do the same. Remove the limit on jumping. :p
  • Wonder if there is a Hi Resolution texture pack for Minecraft?
  • If there isn't there probably will be eventually.
  • Speaking of texture packs >.>

    The texture pack:

(yes, it is just an image)

    Edit_1:
Apparently all you have to do to get a high(er) rez textures is make the terrain.png twice the size.

    Go figure.

    A comparison:

    Edit_2:
    A High(-er) rez texture pack:
    http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=16754#p298260
  • Here's a fixed version of that texture with ice and snow, but it may still have bugs: http://imgur.com/vCz5P.png

    Known Bugs:
    • Lava does not have animated glow.
    • Fire (not on torches) is messed up.
    • Gold ore blocks have a fire on top of them, due to the fire textures.

To install save that image, rename it to terrain.png and place it in your minecraft.jar file.
    For Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\.minecraft\bin\minecraft.jar
For Windows 7 (possibly Vista, unsure): C:\Users\[username]\appData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin\minecraft.jar
    For Ubuntu: /home/[username]/.minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar
I have no idea how on OS X
You can open the .jar with 7-Zip on Windows (possibly WinRAR too, but I used 7-Zip)
Ubuntu comes with a package manager that can open the .jar file.

Here's the orignal file if you decide against using the updated textures: http://imgur.com/qaYkq.png
  • Thanks Numb! :D

    Just added this:
    DvOIT.jpg
  • New HUD! This mod has no bugs, as far as I know. When you download it, rename it to icons.png and place it in the GUI folder of the minecraft.jar file.

    For Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[YOUR USERNAME]\Application Data\.minecraft\bin\minecraft.jar
For Windows 7 (possibly Vista, unsure): C:\Users\[your name]\appData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin\minecraft.jar
I have no idea how on OS X.
    For Ubuntu: /home/[username]/.minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar
You can open the .jar with 7-Zip on Windows (possibly WinRAR too, but I used 7-Zip)
Ubuntu comes with a package manager that can open the .jar file.

  • Just an update: The minecraft server is down again. :p

Last time it was a shoutout from a youtube user with hundreds of thousands of subscribers. No clue what the cause is this time.

    Edit:
    Never mind
    It went back up.
  • Just added this:
    DvOIT.jpg
    OH CHRIST!!!

    O_o
  • I think it would be funny to have the teletubbies sun as the minecraft sun
  • I think it would be funny to have the teletubbies sun as the minecraft sun

    :tinfoil:
  • I tried
    jUenC.png
but apparently sun textures just show up as white in game. All you can really change is the shape/shade. :(

Here's an example of someone else's work:
    http://www.worldofminecraft.com/node/7844

(I put up the server again, btw)
I had the wrong file open. :p

I noticed something in MC today!
    4FVa3.jpg
Apparently its visible in the morning/evening!
  • Updated the server wrapper from 2.7.1 to 2.8.29.
This should solve the random disconnects and console spazzage. :D

    Edit:
Post if you have trouble joining the server.
